When my client asked me to look into why he was paying so much in overtime, I investigated the crew's daily preparations. It was upon reviewing of the procedures that showed there were thousands of hours of non-applied time (time spent looking for things, waiting around, and coffee breaks before arriving at the first job). 

We standardized the morning and evening preparation, set some guidelines and held the crews accountable. The owner reported he saved $28,000 the first quarter the changes were implemented.

After reviewing the client's QuickBooks file, I discovered that there were several double entries and the owner was unaware that the books weren't reconciled correctly. When he filed his taxes, the accountant nor the owner noticed the mistakes. 

Once I re-reconciled the books and removed the double entries, the client was able to refile his tax returns which resulted in a refund of $26,000.

I work in close collaboration with the business owners to create job descriptions that include outlining the duties, pay structure, and pertinent job function information. I helped a client create a custom job description for a key position within the organization. The employee's understanding of the position from the document helped decrease the training time.
